Woollahra Cafes

If you ask us, the Eastern suburbs of Sydney are some of the best places in the world to live, work and play. In this ongoing series, starting with Woollahra, we explore some of the cafes that add to the lifestyle of the eastern suburbs. While these aren’t the only cafes, these are the go-to coffee & cake cafes for the Amanda Banton team when they are in Woollahra.

The Queen St. Kitchen

146 Queen Street, Woollahra

A relatively new addition to the Eastern suburbs’ coffee culture, The Queen St Kitchen has made a big impact in a short time. With an impressive and diverse menu, this is the perfect place for breakfast, lunch or an anytime snack. Antonio and his staff make everyone feel welcome and the service matches the food for quality. Trying one of the paninis for lunch is an absolute must but there is also a range of salad and pasta dishes that are just as delicious. The Queen St. Kitchen is licensed so if you’re inclined, a beer, wine or cocktail might be just the thing to complement your meal. The coffee also keeps customers coming back, and seems to satisfy even the fussiest of the coffee obsessed!

The Vernon Coffee

222 Edgecliff Rd, Woollahra

With a great corner location, The Vernon Coffee has the reputation of serving the best coffee in the area. While not having a large menu, all items are available all day and you will certainly find a quality item to enjoy. The sourdough & rye breads are from Iggy’s which pretty much says it all – very tasty whether with an egg, jam or as an open sandwich. George and his crew provide efficient service and all the staff are key to the friendly vibe that radiates the place.

Taste Providore

150 Queen St, Woollahra NSW

Taste Providore is well known within the Woollahra area for its quality service and friendly, efficient staff. Just as famous (and popular) are their baguettes, noted for the Vietnamese influence. The place has a great ambience and a lovely outdoor section to sit and enjoy the sunshine with your food and coffee. A colleague claims to be almost addicted to their almond croissant and we haven’t heard a bad word about the coffee they serve.
