The team at Amanda Banton Real Estate love the Eastern suburbs of Sydney and know they the best places in the world to live, work and play. As part of an ongoing series, we explore some of the cafes that add to the lifestyle of the eastern suburbs. While these aren’t the only cafes, these are the go-to coffee cafes for the Amanda Banton team when they are in Double Bay.
Kitchen By Culture
2 Cross St, Double Bay NSW 2028
If you are after an awesome breakfast, Kitchen By Culture has you covered. From simple choices like a variety of toast through to the more substantial Breakfast Bowl, everything is delicious and beautifully presented. For those of you with a sweet tooth, we highly recommend the Ricotta pancakes! John & Angela and all the staff there are super friendly – there’s a smile for everyone who walks through the door. They serve a variety of drinks (the juices are amazing!) and the coffee is a quality brew.
Café Perons
Short St, Double Bay NSW 2028
Located right in the heart of Double Bay, Café Perons offers indoor or outdoor seating and having been in the area for many years is a real Double Bay institution. You don’t last for this long without a great menu, and Café Perons food is worth the visit. All the breakfast favourites as well as a range of specialties that will not disappoint – the Mediterranean Pizza Omelette is one of our favourites! There is also an extensive lunch menu – everything from sandwiches to share plates to burgers, and all of it wonderful.
Redleaf Café
536 New South Head Rd, Double Bay
You might start out at the Redleaf Café for the view but you’ll be back for the food and coffee, in fact, it has been said this is the best coffee in Double Bay. We are especially fond of an iced latte when the weather is hot & there is a sea breeze. We can also highly recommend the Breakfast Bruschetta but the bagels are also very delicious! This is a popular lunch venue with burgers & bagels & bowls – the Salmon Poke Bowl is one of our favourites.
